Pick any plan and add a card at checkout: the first month is free, and Stripe charges the card when it ends. Cancel in Settings → Plan and billing → Manage billing before then and nothing is charged; the company becomes read-only at the end of the free month. Nothing is deleted. Invite discounts start with your first paid month.
If the Start your free trial button is showing, yes: sign up, confirm your email, and create your company. Otherwise BookKeeper is invitation-only for now; use the link in your invite email.

Yes, from Settings → Plan and billing at any time. Upgrades start right away and are prorated. Downgrades and switches from yearly to monthly take effect at your next renewal, and nothing you've already entered is removed.

Linked bank accounts fetch new transactions every day on their own, and whenever you click Sync now. Balances update once a week, and you can refresh one account's balance with Refresh balance (once a day per account); each balance shows the date it's as of. Sync now and Refresh balance each use one refresh: plans include 10, 20, 30 a month, up to 3 a day. CSV and OFX imports are unlimited on every plan.
Yes, on a paid plan. Each account past your plan's limit adds $2 a month ($24 a year on yearly plans) to your subscription, prorated, and comes off again when you disconnect it. Discounts apply to extra accounts too. BookKeeper shows the cost before you link. While extra accounts are on your subscription, contact support to switch plans.
BookKeeper adds no fee. Card and ACH payments go to your own Stripe account at Stripe's standard rates.
You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Then the company moves to the Free plan: nothing is deleted, anything over Free's limits stays viewable and exportable, and pay links on invoices you've already sent keep working. If you already have a Free company, this one becomes read-only instead.
Yearly plans can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Monthly plans aren't refunded; cancel any time.
Businesses in Massachusetts pay 6.25% sales tax on top of the price. Prices are in US dollars.
Yes. Invite them as a viewer: viewers are free and unlimited on every plan, and can run reports and export, but can't change anything.
